Golden Triangle Tour

Delhi - Agra - Jaipur

Get ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime, venturing into a country that's nothing short of mesmerizing in its diversity. This journey is an opportunity to delve into the wonders of India whilst making a meaningful impact on nature and the environment. India will, in turn, leave a positive impression on you that will last a lifetime.

Your adventure takes you through the vibrant cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, where the excitement of your journey intertwines with a noble cause. As you traverse these magnificent landscapes, you'll also champion the preservation of India's most revered creatures: the majestic elephant and the sacred cow, cherished and sacred to the Hindu people.

It’s not all hard work; you’ll visit iconic landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, play sports with the locals (especially India’s national sport, cricket), learn to become a Bollywood dancer and sample India’s world-famous cuisine.

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India! You’ll be taken to your fantastic hotel from the airport for your first night in Delhi. Once you’ve had a chance to settle in and freshen up, you’ll embark on a captivating sightseeing tour, showcasing the city’s rich history and providing an audiovisual adventure like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

Day 2: In Delhi

After breakfast, you are off to see more of the city with a walking tour of Old Delhi. Founded in 1988, the Salaam Baalak Trust is an NGO located in Delhi with a commitment to assisting street children across the city. The organization's name translates to ‘salute a child’, embodying its mission to secure children's futures living in precarious and sometimes dangerous conditions.

The Trust's programs encompass a range of initiatives, including outreach projects, health and nutrition efforts, education and skill-building initiatives, and rehabilitation programs. One notable aspect involves guided walks led by former street children who have triumphed over adversity, pursued education, and established independent lives within the mainstream community. Your guided tour will be led by a former street child, exploring the atmospheric lanes, bustling markets, and vibrant bazaars of Old Delhi, both on foot and by rickshaw.

After the tour, you will visit the DRMC Children’s Home to see this charity's fantastic work, with the opportunity to speak with the children and share their stories. Later, you’ll have a choice of activities, from playing India’s national sport, cricket, or teaching English.

Day 3: Delhi – Mathura - Agra

Get prepared for the next exciting part of your adventure – it will be quite different from what you've done so far. Today, you're heading to the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre, where you'll discover amazing facts about these majestic animals. Later on, you’ll dive in and help the staff in their duties caring for the elephants, giving you a real insight into animal conservation.

Overnight: Agra

Day 4: In Agra

Today, you have the privilege of witnessing one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the most iconic site in India, the Taj Mahal, and the historic Agra Fort. In the afternoon, prepare to join Bollywood as you engage in a dance lesson, learning the best moves from India’s most popular dances.

Overnight: Agra

Day 5: Agra - Jaipur

Set against the backdrop of the Taj Mahal, the day begins with a yoga session before the next leg of your journey, the enchanting Jaipur, also known as the ‘Pink City’. On the way you’ll stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a walled city with grand palaces, ornate courtyards, and intricate architecture.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 6: In Jaipur

Today you get to witness Jaipur's splendor, displaying its stunning architecture, awe-inspiring panoramas, and rich cultural legacy which resonates through the lively streets. Starting at the Hawa Mahal, you'll have a thrilling jeep expedition to the heights of Amer Fort. The afternoon unfolds with visits to the City Palace and the Astronomical Observatory.

The day ends perfectly with a cooking lesson (so you can show off your culinary skills back home!), then sharing a meal with a local family.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 7: Jaipur - Delhi

Your final morning in Jaipur is at a Gaushala, a sanctuary for cows, revered as sacred in Hinduism. The villagers will show you how they manage a shelter for over 900 cows. You'll have the chance to accompany the herdsmen as they lead the cows to graze in nearby fields, help prepare their meals and witness the dedicated work of the caretakers and volunteers. Then back to Delhi for your last night in India (for now), and there will be an opportunity to explore the city with your tour manager, taking in yet more of the sights and sounds and, most importantly, enjoying some of the beautiful cuisines for which India is so well-known.
